Updates & Patch Notes

1.0 LIVE — Dominion Realms Launch · Brutal World & Living Consequences

  • Dominion Realms officially goes live: a persistent AI-driven medieval fantasy world where characters, NPCs, factions, economies, wars, travel, professions, relationships, and Chronicles continue to develop over time
  • Zero health now resolves through a consequence engine rather than automatic character deletion: rescue, robbery, captivity, trauma, maiming, magical death prevention, rare true death, and future resurrection are all supported
  • Companions with sufficient loyalty can risk themselves to rescue a fallen character, while severe defeats can leave persistent fractures, concussions, damaged vision, deep wounds, movement injuries, amputations, scars, or other trauma requiring appropriate recovery
  • Captivity is now playable: prisoners can observe captors, accumulate language/cultural/tactical knowledge, attempt escape using learned routines, or gamble on fighting free
  • Fallen characters remain part of the world and Chronicle with persistent body/resurrection state instead of being erased; Phoenix, Soul Anchor, Death Ward, and resurrection-style effects can intervene before ordinary defeat outcomes
  • Travel and encounter state now preserve healing, food, water, mana/Qi, stamina, and other consumable changes correctly across real-time travel timers and road interruptions
  • Combat Auto Resolve is now skill-aware: it can intelligently use healing, mana and stamina potions, restorative or offensive abilities, defensive actions, and tactical maneuvers based on current resources, attributes, learned skills, enemy count, and battlefield pressure
  • Combat narration now scrolls with the fight during Auto Resolve and preserves a longer running exchange so players can follow what their character is doing rather than waiting on an opaque result
  • Restorative consumables now support quantity sliders and protected multi-use: players can use only the number of potions actually needed to restore Health, Mana/Qi, or Stamina toward maximum, and the server prevents excess use that would waste consumables
  • Health, Mana/Qi, and Stamina now regenerate gradually over real time outside active combat, with hunger and thirst affecting recovery rates and severe deprivation capable of halting passive restoration
  • The living world now continues while a logged-in player is idle. Characters standing in unsafe roads, wilderness, caves, dungeons, crossroads, and other exposed locations can attract roaming threats after prolonged inactivity, while settlements and other safe areas protect idle characters
  • AFK danger now escalates gradually rather than instantly: unattended hostile encounters can inflict periodic damage over time, leaving an exposed character in serious condition while preserving a final chance to return and react
  • Combat Auto Resolve stops when an encounter ends, unresolved encounters prevent contradictory travel, and sanctioned Grand Arena defeats remain non-lethal
  • Major quality-of-life and presentation pass: Chronicle now shows safe/exposed status, location breadcrumbs, pinned objectives, recommended actions, paper-doll equipment, quick-use consumables, clearer notifications, improved route planning, danger labels, expected travel needs, enhanced combat readability and audio cues, character-saved accessibility settings, configurable Auto Resolve thresholds, and difficulty-based AFK danger
  • A premium visual pass now carries a consistent forged-metal and antique-gold interface language across the Chronicle, combat, Arena, navigation, character selection, and supporting screens, with improved cinematic framing, rarity treatments, motion, shadows, readability, and mobile navigation
  • Structured World Memory now records consequential actions, relationships, crimes, discoveries, property milestones, and legacy decisions as durable facts that AI narration can reference instead of relying only on recent prose
  • An AI Game Director now evaluates recent pacing and actively prevents empty repetitive exploration by introducing appropriate discoveries, complications, hazards, social beats, clues, resources, or escalating pressure while providing recovery beats after heavy conflict
  • Crime and wanted-state consequences now begin immediately when civilians or persistent NPCs are assaulted: bounty and crime increase, lawful safe zones can become unsafe, guards or bounty hunters can pursue wanted characters, and notoriety worsens lawful merchant prices
  • Persistent NPC relationships now support earned romance through a Flirt action, with affinity and trust gates preventing instant relationships and important interactions entering both NPC memory and the player's World Memory
  • Players can now purchase persistent property in safe settlements, from long-term rooms through walled estates, gain stronger home recovery, review holdings in the Journal, and establish permanent sanctuaries tied to specific locations
  • Level 50 now opens permanent Legendary Legacy paths—Warlord, Ascendant Arcanist, High Steward, World Wanderer, or Realm Founder—with distinct lasting resource and gameplay bonuses plus legacy titles
  • Launch build consolidates the Character Forge, Chronicle, Living World, regional travel, kingdom warfare, NPC memory, companions, professions, merchants, Bestiary, Grand Arena, progression, titles, hunger/thirst, world continuity, and persistent consequences developed during pre-launch
